PEO - Human Resource Generalist
Job Summary:
The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily HR function for a variety of PEO and ASO clients. The ideal candidate will have experience with onboarding and orientation, employment law compliance, writing handbooks and process manuals, administering health and welfare benefits, 401K administration, OSHA compliance, multi-state labor law and employment law, EEOC, client relations and customer relations. This is a true generalist role, in a high volume, white glove service environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations, as applicable to client.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Support adjacent departments such as payroll, Workers Compensation, Client Relations
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferred.
- At least two year of human resource generalist experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP or PHR a plus.
- OSHA 100 or 300 certification a plus
- Experience working with PEO, MSP or passthrough clients HUGE PLUS
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to work in the corporate offices, in Escondido, CA full time. No opportunity for remote work available. All office staff are required to wear face coverings while in the presence of others and/or in common areas.
